Worth knowing

You need at least two years in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets. Cadets aging out apply in June of their last training year, and cadets on a gap year of up to 24 months can still apply. Mail the full package by April 1. Cadets entering marine programs are also considered for the Irving Shipbuilding Scholarship. The award does not go to students in the Regular Officer Training Plan.

The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Education Foundation gives $1,000 to $5,000 scholarships each year to Sea Cadets starting post-secondary studies.
