Rocky View Schools graduates, and children of ATA Local 35 members graduating anywhere in Alberta
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Rocky View teachers fund a set of scholarships each year for students graduating from a Rocky View high school, which covers the Airdrie public schools, and for children of ATA Local 35 members graduating from any Alberta high school. A Certificate of Achievement qualifies as well as a diploma. Applications opened May 1 and close September 30, the fall after you graduate.
The teachers fund this themselves out of ATA Local 35, and in 2022-23 the pool was about $90,000. Proof of enrolment is the catch: a letter of acceptance does not count, so you apply after you have registered, not when you get in. The forms are Cognito forms and do not work properly on a phone.
