You must have completed Grades 10, 11 and 12 in Alberta. Selection weighs your admission average together with financial need you show in the application.

How the University of Alberta entrance award application works

Apply for admission to the University of Alberta first. Then sign in to the Awards Hub with your CCID and complete two forms, the General Application and the Entrance Scholarship Application. They open each year on October 1 and close in mid-January, January 10 for fall 2027 entry, and they put you in the running for every entrance award you qualify for. Applications cannot be changed or reopened after the deadline.
