R.F. Staples lists over twenty local awards from $500 to $2,000, including eight $2,000 agricultural scholarships from Mile 14 Holdings, Titan Livestock and Schmidt Livestock, the Albert & Florence Miller Agricultural Scholarship, two ATA scholarships of $1,000 for future teachers, the Jim Shaffer Memorial Scholarship ($1,250), Westlock Rotary, Fire and Rescue and Healthcare Auxiliary scholarships, the United Nurses of Alberta Local 73 Scholarship and the Boston Pizza Entrepreneurial Spirit Award.

The 2026 deadline to apply for all of these was May 1, 2026; the 2027 date here is rolled forward. The school weighs academics, school activities, community involvement, financial need and post-secondary plans in different combinations for each award.
