Worth knowing
There are twenty-four awards in four buckets, 14 for dependent children of members heading to full-time study, 3 for members in full-time study, 2 for members part-time, and 5 for members or dependents who self-identify as a woman, Indigenous, a person with a disability or racialized. You must be a member, or the dependent child under 26 of a member, in good standing as of March 31 of the application year. Judged on the merit of a 750 to 850 word essay OR a creative submission, such as a video, infographic or song, up to five minutes, answering that year's set question. Not limited to first-year students, and past winners cannot win twice. Award values range from $1,000 to $4,000 by category, including $3,000 equity awards. PSAC says the 2027 program opens in April. Dependent children must be under 26, but the member awards do not state that age limit.
