PSAC Scholarship Program
Twenty-four scholarships from the Public Service Alliance of Canada, fourteen of them reserved for dependent children of members, awarded on a written or creative submission rather than on grades.
Twenty-four awards in four buckets: 14 for dependent children of members heading to full-time study, 3 for members in full-time study, 2 for members part-time, and 5 for members or dependents who self-identify as a woman, Indigenous, a person with a disability, racialized or 2SLGBTQIA+. You must be a member, or the dependent child under 26 of a member, in good standing as of March 31 of the application year. Judged on the merit of a 750 to 850 word essay OR a creative submission: a video, infographic or song, up to five minutes, answering that year's set question. Not limited to first-year students, and past winners cannot win twice. PSAC does not publish the award value in its guidelines, so no figure is claimed here. The 2026 round closed June 22, 2026 and PSAC says the 2027 program opens in April. Verified against psacunion.ca and the PSAC scholarship guidelines on 2026-09-08.
