ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
A $750 award decided on a written personal story rather than marks. Applications open January 1 and close July 31, with the winner announced August 31. Past recipients are named publicly, which is a reasonable sign the money is actually paid.
A summer deadline is rare and useful: this stays open through the months when almost every other award has closed. The application is a form plus your story, so it is one of the cheapest applications on the site in time.
