ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
One award of $1,300 for a student in any programme with proof of at least ten years of residency in the Wood Buffalo region, judged on community involvement and academic success. A letter of reference on letterhead confirming volunteer hours is required.
This is the strictest of the three Northstar awards and the one with the smallest field, because a decade of residency rules out most of the region's transient workforce and their children. Two shorter-residency versions run alongside it.
