Indigenous graduates of a Northern Lights high school
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
A $1,500 award to help Indigenous youth reach a university degree, a college diploma or a technical certificate. The resume it asks for covers grades 10 to 12 and counts four kinds of involvement equally: student government, sports, Indigenous cultural or recreational activity such as Métis dancing, Pow-Wow dancing, drumming, fiddling or Native art, and Indigenous community activity such as youth councils or the Native Friendship Centre. A one-page statement of career goals and at least one recommendation letter go with it.
A Northern Lights Public Schools award, so every high school in the division competes for it, Cold Lake High included.
