Niagara Region Right to Life Scholarship
An essay contest run by Niagara Region Right to Life, open to grade 11 and 12 students across Canada. Three prizes are awarded each year: $2,000, $1,500 and $1,000.
You submit a personal profile, a letter of recommendation and a 1,500 word essay by email, using the address printed on the official poster and brochure, by Friday October 16, 2026. Winners are announced by December 18, 2026. The 2026/2027 topic asks whether artificial intelligence is a force for good or a technology that undermines human dignity, and whether it changes how human beings are defined, reproduced and die, naming IVF, surrogacy, gene editing and embryo screening. The sponsor is an advocacy organisation and the essay is judged on how well you engage its questions, so read the brochure topic in full before you start. Students educated in Canada outside a high school may also enter.
