Canadian citizens or permanent residents entering university for the first time in 2027, with an 88% average

Worth knowing

You apply directly at apply.loranscholar.ca; the 88% is calculated from Grade 10, 11 and 12 courses only. Applicants must be born between January 1, 2005 and September 1, 2011. Even if you do not make the final class, up to 54 finalists receive $6,000 and up to 70 provincial and territorial recipients receive $3,000. Applications close at noon ET on the deadline day, not at midnight.

About this scholarship

Canada's largest undergraduate merit award, worth approximately $150,000 over four years: a $12,000 annual stipend, a full tuition waiver at a partner university, and up to $14,000 for summer programs. Selection weighs character and service as heavily as marks, over online semi-finals and national interviews in Toronto.
