Logan Hunter Youth Leadership Award
Who can apply Grade 12 hockey players who coach or volunteer with younger kids
How you apply Through your school. It collects the form, often before the date shown here.
Run by St. Albert Community Foundation Amount and deadline
Date confirmed on the provider's page, Oct 2026.
Worth knowing
The date here is Paul Kane's April 10. Bellerose collects the same award until June 1 and the other schools set their own, so the deadline you are held to is your own school's, not the one printed here. Ask your counsellor which applies to you.
About this scholarship
The third Humboldt memorial award, and the one that asks for what you have done for younger players. Logan Hunter wanted to be a teacher and spent his time helping young people as a volunteer and a coach, so the criteria ask for excellence in hockey over more than two years, character and respect for coaches, and support and involvement of youth through volunteering or teaching. A 70% average is required, along with a commitment to training or personal fitness. The submission is an essay or a video of up to five minutes, a coach's reference, and a transcript.
