SCHOLARSHIP ACADEMIC OPENS FEBRUARY 1, 2027

Local 38 Heritage Scholarship Award

CALGARY
WHO CAN APPLY
Children of Calgary Public Teachers, ATA Local 38 members

The main award from the union representing Calgary public school teachers, open to the child, stepchild or ward of a current, retired or deceased Local 38 member.

There are two sets of guidelines under one name. The first is the merit stream, which asks for an 80% average across five 5-credit grade 12 courses, or 75% for a student with an Alberta Education identified learning need. The second is for students with developmental disabilities entering a vocational program, and it is judged on its own terms. A retired or deceased member still counts as a member.
