ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Leduc Community Hospital Foundation set up this programme in the fall of 2021 for people in the community with a commitment to healthcare through their chosen profession. Two scholarships of $1,000 each go annually to students from the Leduc region pursuing post-secondary healthcare-related studies. It is a small, locally funded programme against a small regional pool, which is the kind of ratio worth an application.
The foundation says applications are accepted in November with recipients announced the following March, but publishes no exact closing date, so watch its site through the fall. Its separate professional development awards are for working healthcare staff, not students.
