About this scholarship

Five scholarships of $8,000 and a sixth of $2,000 from the Amalgamated Transit Union for members, their children, stepchildren and grandchildren entering an accredited college or a technical or vocational school for the first time.

Worth knowing

Eight thousand dollars is among the largest amounts on this site. Grandchildren of members qualify, which widens the family net considerably, but anyone who has already attended college is excluded. The 2026 round closed March 31.
