John Laurie Scholarship
Who can apply Indigenous students at Calgary Board of Education schools
Amount and deadline
Date confirmed on the provider's page, Oct 2026.
Worth knowing
One award a year, so the field is the whole public board, not your school. John Laurie taught at Calgary's Crescent Heights and spent much of his life working alongside Treaty 7 leaders, which is why his name sits on the union's Indigenous award. Local 38 runs its awards through a members-only portal, so the opening date is not published anywhere public. All four of its awards share the end-of-May closing date and one application site.
About this scholarship
