Calmar, Thorsby and Warburg graduates entering a medical field
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Katie Dringenberg left Leduc County $20,000 to start this fund, asking that it go to a graduate of Calmar High School, Thorsby High School or Warburg High School. It is awarded annually to a post-secondary student with a declared major in a medical field, and the county names nursing, dentistry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine as examples rather than limits. Previous recipients are not eligible again.
Leduc County takes this one directly rather than through a school, and the successful applicant has to supply a social insurance number and birthdate afterwards. Financial need is weighed alongside the stated criteria.
HOW TO APPLY

2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before October 31, 2026.
