Dr. Josephine Brown served Athabasca as a physician and a town councillor. Her $2,000 scholarship goes to an Edwin Parr Composite student or alumnus heading into medical or dental studies.
Worth knowing
Grade 12 applicants need an 85 percent Grade 11 average and at least 75 percent in Grade 12. Students already in medicine or dentistry need a 3.3 GPA, 75 percent or B plus across three terms. You send an essay and three references.
