CHS James Kreppner Memorial Scholarship and Bursary
A $5,000 award from the Canadian Hemophilia Society for Canadians with an inherited bleeding disorder, and for their spouses and children, heading to any post-secondary institution.
Three categories under one program: a scholarship judged on academic merit, a bursary judged on financial need, and a mature student bursary for applicants 30 and over. Open to Canadians with hemophilia A or B, von Willebrand disease, a rare factor deficiency or a platelet function disorder, to carriers, and to anyone who contracted hepatitis C or HIV through a blood transfusion. SPOUSES AND CHILDREN of those people may also apply, which is the detail that widens this well beyond patients themselves. Past recipients cannot win twice. The deadline is April 30 of any given year, which the Society states as a standing annual date rather than a per-cycle one. The organization also operates as Bleeding Disorders Canada, so you will see both names. Verified against hemophilia.ca on 2026-09-08.
