How the EducationMatters application works

One EducationMatters application covers every CBE and Calgary Catholic award. It opens March 1, and most awards close May 30, a few May 1. Every one has three rules: you must be 20 or younger on September 1, not yet in post-secondary, and applying in your Grade 12 year. Once you leave high school you can no longer apply, so a gap year is fine only if you applied before you graduated.

116 awards listed here go through it.

About this scholarship

Up to four $1,000 awards for CBE and Calgary Catholic graduates, decided on a 500-word essay or a video of up to five minutes about your commitment to learning and your plans for further education. Newcomers to Canada are encouraged to apply, though it is not a requirement.

Email me when it opens

We send one link to confirm, then an email when it opens and reminders before the deadline if one is posted.
We store your address only to send these reminders, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe.
What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We never sell or trade it. The full privacy policy.
