Worth knowing

ANC gives $4,250 a year. One $750 award goes to each of St. Joseph School, Hilltop High, Mayerthorpe High and Fox Creek School, and a $1,250 overall award is open to all four plus home study students. A school needs at least two applicants for its own award. Email a cover letter on your career goals and why you deserve it, a resume, a recommendation from school staff, one from a peer, and a short essay on that year's topic to scholarship@albertanewsprint.com before midnight on May 15. You must be under 25 and use it at a Canadian post-secondary school.

About this scholarship

Alberta Newsprint Company awards $750 at each of four Whitecourt-area high schools plus a $1,250 overall prize to graduating students under 25 heading to post-secondary.
