Worth knowing
Legacy funds like this and the 2000 Alberta Summer Games Legacy Fund exist because an event wound up with money left over and turned it into scholarships.
How the Northwestern Alberta Foundation form works
One universal application covers every fund the Northwestern Alberta Foundation holds, so there is nothing separate to file. The foundation publishes the fund names but keeps each fund's value and criteria inside the portal, which shows what you qualify for once you submit.
19 awards listed here go through it.
About this scholarship
A legacy endowment left behind by a 2016 Rotary curling event, now paying student awards through the Northwestern Alberta Foundation. Participation in organized junior curling gives priority, but it is not an exclusive requirement.
