About this program

A free cadet program run by the Calgary Police Service. Cadets meet Thursday evenings from 5:45 to 9:15, September to May, and join weekend exercises and volunteer work. Over five levels they build leadership, fitness, first aid and marksmanship skills. Uniforms and equipment are provided. Applications for the next September intake open November 1 and close March 31, so a Grade 10 student who is still 16 can join.
