About this program

A seven-week summer at UC Santa Barbara, June 14 to July 30, 2027, where you are paired with a graduate student, postdoc or professor and carry out your own research project, with lectures on research methods along the way. International students are welcome. Applications for 2027 open December 15, 2026. The closing date isn't posted yet, and last year's round closed in early March, with decisions on a rolling basis. It is expensive. In 2026 it cost US$5,675 to commute or US$13,274 living on campus.
