Worth knowing

Administered through your school. Ask your counsellor for this year's deadline as soon as school starts, these local awards close earlier than the big ones. You must study full time for a certificate, diploma or degree at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

About this scholarship

Named for a Red Deer High School graduate who died in the First World War, this award gives at least five graduating Red Deer Public and Catholic students $5,000 each, with the opportunity to reapply for up to four years.
