Worth knowing

Apply through NUPGE's online form with an original 750 to 1,000 word essay on the current topic. Applicants must be under 35 on the deadline and entering or continuing full-time or part-time study at a public Canadian college or university. Current and retired members of component or affiliated unions qualify; eligible family relationships include stepchildren and foster children. The estimated deadline is July 15, 2027. The 2027 date is not published yet; this is last year's date moved forward one year.

About this scholarship

This $2,500 award supports NUPGE members and eligible members' children, grandchildren or legal wards who are under 35. Selection is based on the essay's content, presentation and response to the assigned topic.
