Cold Lake High grade 12 students strong in industrial arts
ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
A $300 award from the Merit Contractors Association, a non-profit that promotes the trades in Alberta, for a grade 12 student who has shown exceptional skill and appreciation in woodworking, metalworking or other industrial arts. The industrial education teacher selects the recipient, judging three years of shop work rather than a written case.
No application. Cold Lake High's industrial education teacher picks the winner from the graduating class, so the way in is to take the shop courses and do well in them.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before May 31, 2027.
