Worth knowing

Six awards in two streams, and the streams have different requirements. Three entrance scholarships go to students whose parent teaches in the division, and those can be used in any faculty anywhere. The other three go to any Livingstone Range graduate enrolled in a Faculty of Education. The entrance stream is first year only, so it is now or never. One useful detail from the criteria, since it saves a calculation. The entrance stream is selected on the highest high school average, computed the same way as the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship. A student may hold only one of the six in a year and cannot win twice. Cheques go out in December once enrolment is verified, and applications go by mail to the Local in Blairmore.

About this scholarship

The teachers of the Livingstone Range division, covering Claresholm, Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass, fund six of these a year out of their own local.
