SCHOLARSHIP ARTS 259 DAYS LEFT

Leduc Performing Arts and Cultural Foundation Music Arts Scholarship

LEDUC
WHO CAN APPLY
Leduc city and county students in music arts

One of four streams the Leduc Performing Arts and Cultural Foundation runs, each with two tiers. The scholarship pays up to $1,000 to a grade 12 student, or one who has finished Music Arts at the 10, 20 and 30 levels, and has to go toward post-secondary study, though continuing in music arts is explicitly not required. The award pays up to $500 to a student from grade 7 up and covers lessons, camps, workshops or equipment instead. You have to attend a City of Leduc or County of Leduc school and be 19 or under. Music is judged live: you perform two or three pieces at the MacLab Centre for Performing Arts, up to fifteen minutes including your introductions. The foundation exists as a legacy of Florence Mackenzie, a Black Gold teacher.

The foundation's own site carries the current date and the four streams; the copies of these criteria hosted on the school division's site are older and give a different deadline. Trust the foundation. Money is held in trust and released on proof of tuition or receipt, and it expires August 31, 2029.
