Health Care Professionals of Tomorrow Scholarship
Friends of Chinook Regional Hospital, the hospital foundation, and Alberta Health Services Volunteer Resources fund four scholarships a year. Two are set aside for graduating Grade 12 students, at $4,000 for first place and $3,000 for second. You must be an active, registered AHS volunteer at Chinook Regional Hospital with at least 40 lifetime hours, live in the hospital's service area, and be starting full-time post-secondary study in a health care field in the fall. Health care is defined broadly here and is not limited to careers giving direct patient care. Selection weighs your commitment to volunteering, why you volunteer, what your work contributed, your plans for a health care career, and your letters of support. Past recipients cannot apply again.
The provider had not posted a date for the new cycle when this was checked in August 2026, so this is last cycle's deadline rolled forward. Confirm before you plan around it. Applications are due at noon, not end of day. The 40 volunteer hours are the gate to watch: they are lifetime hours at Chinook Regional Hospital specifically, so this is one to start in Grade 10 or 11 rather than in your graduating year.
