Email me when the date is posted

We send one link to confirm, then an email when a confirmed deadline is posted and reminders before it closes.
Reminders come from ScholarAB in Medicine Hat, Alberta. We store your address only to send them, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe, which you can do any time from any email.
What we keep

Nothing else is sent until you press the button in the confirmation email. If you never do, the address is deleted within 30 days. Otherwise it goes 60 days after the deadline or the moment you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. A listing with no date keeps it a year at most, and nothing is kept past 18 months. We never sell or trade it. Questions go to hello@scholarab.ca. The full privacy policy.

Worth knowing

You must have finished at least the first year of an apprenticeship or trade program, and community involvement or volunteering also counts. The Flondra family started the award in 2021 in memory of Greg Flondra, a master electrician from Vilna. Email gregflondrascholarship@gmail.com for the form. The 2026 form was due July 31 and the 2027 date is not posted yet.

About this scholarship

The Flondra family of Vilna gives $1,000 a year to an apprentice or trades student who finished high school in Smoky Lake, St. Paul, Bonnyville or Lac La Biche county.
