Up to $11,500 a year for First Nations, Métis and Inuit students in a degree program, or up to $7,000 for a certificate, diploma or pre-apprenticeship program. In exchange you sign a return of service agreement: one year of full-time work in northern Alberta for each year of funding. You reapply every year, to a maximum of four.

Two intakes each year: February 1 to June 1, and June 5 to November 1. Apply in one intake only, late applications are not accepted. You need a verified Alberta.ca Account, which can take up to two weeks to set up.
