WHO CAN APPLY
Senior high school students living in a participating Community Futures region. Check with your regional office first, since only four of the Alberta offices run the program.
ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Alberta's own youth business program: four days of hands-on training, then you actually run the business over the summer with weekly coaching. Started by Community Futures Capital Region in 2015 and now delivered by four Community Futures offices, serving communities around Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Leduc, Devon, Drayton Valley, Drumheller, Lac La Biche and the Lakeland region. Participants get $500 in startup funding and can earn another $500 for hitting their milestones, and some school divisions grant high school credit for it.
