About this program

A national classical music competition with a first round run by local chapters. Albertans audition with the Calgary Chapter, which also takes Edmonton candidates. Top performers go to the national final in Montreal (July 2 to 10 in 2026), where category winners are invited to play with a Canadian orchestra and scholarships are awarded. Each chapter sets its own registration deadline and fee, so contact the Calgary Chapter directly.
