ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
The provincial math contest written only by Alberta and NWT students, which makes the field far smaller than the national contests. Part I is 16 multiple-choice questions in 80 minutes, normally the morning of the third Tuesday of November. Part II is five full-solution proof problems over three hours, normally the first Wednesday of February, and fellowships are awarded on those results. No calculators. Ask a math teacher to enter the school. The 2025/26 rounds were November 18 and February 4; the board publishes exact dates each fall.
