DURATION
Two rounds: 80-minute Part I in November, 3-hour Part II in February
GRADES
High school, plus junior high students recommended by a math teacher
LOCATION
School-based across Alberta (written at your own school); $5 per extra Second Round nomination
WHO CAN APPLY
Alberta and Northwest Territories students. Part I is open to every eligible student; the top 50 scorers, plus the top five Grade 10 students, are invited to Part II. Schools register students with the A.H.S.M.C. Board.

Part I is written in November and Part II in early February; your school registers you. The Alberta High School Mathematics Competition is the province's longest-running math contest, run by the U of A.
