Worth knowing

Expect a process, not a sign-up sheet. There is an online application, an interview, a reference check, a weekend orientation and a three-month trial. At 100 hours you can ask Spark for a reference letter, the part worth planning for if you want one for scholarship applications. Volunteers 18 and over need a police information check, and Spark explains how to get one free.
